New York City-LGA to Rockefellar Center

Easiest way to get from LGA to Rockefellar Center then from RC to Macy's. Also, what is the name of the restaurant that overlooks the skating rink and do they take reservations---thanks all.

The easiest (but not cheapest) way to get from LGA to Rock Center is by taxi. To get from Rock Center to Macy's is a nice walk down 6th Avenue, but you can catch the B,D,F,V subway at Rock Center and take it to 34th Street.

A cab is not only the easiest way to get from LGA to Rock. Center, but is about the same cost as a bus if there are 2 or more of you. (cab about $25-bus about $12/person) There are 2 restaurants with a view of the rink- the Sea Grill and the Rock Center Cafe. I think they both accept reservations. Look for info on both here

http://www.restaurantassociates.com/...estaurants.asp

You may even be able to get some discount coupons on the website.

From Rock Center to Macy's would be a nice walk (50th to 34th then over one block) or $5 cab ride. A bus or subway is also an option.

I went to the Rocke Center Cafe last night for dinner. Great place. The Sea Grill is more formal if that's what you are looking for. Although both places take reservations, we didn't have one for the Rock Center Cafe and were seated in about 10 minutes for dinner on a Saturday night around 6:30.

The easiest way to get from LSA to the Rockefeller Center is by taxi. It's probably abot $30 with toll and tip.

About those discount coupons. Go to www.restaurantassociates.com and bring up The Sea Grill. You can print out a certificate that after you pay the first $50 worth of food, they will pay for up to $50 more. You need to understand that if your food portion of the final bill is $60 they are only paying $10 -- costing you $50, but if you splurge and spend $95 worth of food, it is still only costing you $50. Our meal was fantastic and we did spend $90+ for food which cost us the $50 -- quite a bargain. It is really an excellent restaurant.
