None of these are really Times Square Hotels. The Park Central is on 56th (I think) between 5th and 6th Aves. Not a long walk to Times Square and near the Park, 5th Ave shopping, etc. A much less hectic location than Times Square.
The Omni Berkshire is at 52nd and Madison Aves -- slightly further east, but near Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, 5th and Madison Aves shopping, etc. Not a long walk to Times Square, either, but a superior location.
Either the Park Central or the Omni Berkshire are nice hotels. I would choose the Omni because it is newer and seems to be nicer to me. The Park Central is nice, but a little more dated in my opinion.

Hi
Went to NYC this past weekend (from Orlando)stayed at Novotel Hotel, 226 West 52nd st (at Broadway)it only a couple blocks from the center of Times Square and convenient to everything(see Times Sq. lights from room on the 27fl.with 33fl total) Nice small entrance at street, Hotel lobby is located on the 7th floor. Very secure.Rooms are nice size and sound proof, we had a king that had a love seat and chair, nice bath. Rate was $229. I found all information regarding Hotel on Expedia, then call Hotel and got a better rate, ask for all discounts.Booked room through Hotel then after looking for other info regarding NYC I located the NYC chamber of Commerce site )make sure its the official site).many Hotels there and after the fact found Novotel at $199 including a full breafast for two.required booking that site. Sorry I don't remember site add. it may have been NYC.com.If I were taking my children (not, there grown)this is where I would stay. You might look at my NYC trip report(this past week-end) date 12/10/2001 Good Luck,I know your going to have fun. Alex
