FYI, a fairly decent priced apartment they found (but didn't end up staying there) was The Ocean Apartments in Battery Park. You can probably just go there and not need a broker. The building is beautiful. However, my daughter didn't want it because she felt it wasn't a true NYC experience., She is in the West Village.

Thanks for the continued input. Sorry I've been absent re: the comments today. We leave AZ at 5:00am to head back east and part of that has been getting my daughter packed up. I will continue to review info. as we eventually make our way back into NYC to find that elusive apartment. Thanks again!!
