New toilets
During my recent very enjoyable vacation on Topsail Island, North Carolina, I had the displeasure of experiencing the federal government mandated 1.5 gallon toilet. It seemed that I had no more than a tablespoon of water at the bottom of the bowl to work with, certainly not enough for a normal person's feces to drop into without soiling the sides of the bowl. Generally, I had to flush three or more times before the bowl returned to a semi-pristine condition. Any other poster have similar complaints?? Furthermore, is my math wrong but that when you have to flush a toilet of 1.5 gallons three or more times while an old style 3 gallon toilet usually requires one flush, the 1.5 gallon toilet uses more water than the old style.

xxx,
I actually tried to find that thread for you under "toilets", "water" and "flushing"... I really am quite embarrassed to admit this.
(appaled, actually...)
Anyway, couldn't find it and couldn't bring myself to search further.
Just to clear my name, I HAD planned to preface my find with the following:
"Topping for xxx:
Here 'tis.
To all those who have seen this thread and wish to forget it ever happened, (me), and to those who have never had the pleasure of reading it,(except for xxx), my deepest apologies!"
Ya have to admit....it WAS a Doozey!
(I'm still trying to forget it...)
