New Streetcar??
Hi everyone:
I have been reading in the latest Fodors New Orleans 2002 guide about a supposed new streetcar that runs the length of Canal Street. Anybody know if its happened yet, or up and running? Thank you very much!

The Canal Street streetcar is under construction right now. It currently makes a short run from the River to just-past Rampart. When completed it will go all the way to the end of Canal, with a possible spur to City Park.

Only from the river to Dauphine St., not yet to Rampart.
