New Orleans-Garden District Hotels/Inns

Hello, I would like to know if any of you have an opinion or stayed in these hotels: Quality Inn & Suites Maison St. 1319 St. Charles Ave, The Hampton Inn 3626 St. Charles Avenue and Avenue Plaza Hotel 2111 St. Charles Ave. I read some of the posts and no, I'm not visiting the French Quarter. This my quiet time so to speak.
Thanks all

All are mid-range properties. Not bad but nothing to write home about. If I had to choose, I'd go with the Hampton Inn (best location for a purely Garden District/Uptown visit), with Maison St Charles second. I've heard VERY mixed reviews of Avenue Plaza.

I have stayed in the Maison St. Charles and it was a very nice clean property. Also it's right next door to a Walgreens and a Popeyes' Fried Chicken (the official fried chicken of New Orleans). It's also right on the trolley and bud lines.

You might want to check out the Columns Hotel, a very nice place to stay on St. Charles.

Hi. I have stayed at the Quality Inn Maison St. Charles and it is wonderful. It is convenient to the FQ, Convention Center and Uptown and the Garden District. The streetcar stops directly in front. They also provide FREE shuttle service to the Convention/River Walk and the French Quarter.

I think it is the best value for the money. Inside the FQ is too busy and noisy. This is a welcome change.

Enjoy your stay. I'll be going down in June.
