Need suggestions for Detroit hotels...

Somehow the above message was lost. I am looking for suggestions on hotels in Detroit. I am going to attend the North American International Auto Show this weekend. Two things are important in the hotel that I need: A free shuttle from the airport to the hotel (I'm meeting a friend at the airport, and she won't be renting a car), and within 10-15 minutes of the Cobo Hall. Any suggestions?

The closest is the Pontacharian I think a Holiday Inn. The two nicest are the Renaissance Center and the Omni though.
I'm pretty sure they do not have airport shuttle. Most of the hotels at the airport have shuttles but I'm not sure but I believe it would be about 15 - 20 minutes from the hotel to Cobo.
How will you get to Cobo without a car? Cab???? Anyway some of the nicer hotels around the airport are the Hilton Suites, Doubletree, Marriott. If you are looking for a good price there is a Fairfield or Courtyard there too and a Holiday Inn Crowne Plza.

I would stay at the Omni River Place time and time again. It's great!

I am going to driving up from Cleveland to meet my friend the next day. She will be flying into Detroit this Thursday, I will be meeting her on Friday night. I am also looking for things to do on Sunday, before I drive her back to Cleveland. As I said, I am going to the NAIAS on Saturday. I am undecided as to what to do on Sunday. Previously, I have visited Casino Windsor. I was thinking of going to the MGM casino. Any other recommendations?

PS: Someone mentioned the Omni River Place. Checked the online reservation website, unfortunatly there are no rooms available there for this weekend
