Need info on Harrahs Casino Hotel in St. Louis
Have an offer for three nights and meals at Harrah's St. Louis. I did look on their site, but need your help. Is there a swimming pool/hot tubs? Are they indoor or outdoor? Are there places to walk around outside--it looks to be on the St. Charles River. How did you like the rooms and meals? Would appreciate any help.

GJL I live in St. Louis and no, there isnt anywhere to walk around outside, unless you want to walk around on flat, boring land. The only thing within walking distance is the river and the UMB Bank Pavilian (which is where a lot of our big concerts are held). As far as the hotel is concerned, I've never actually stayed there, but the Casino food is delicious and it would be a fun time if you went for 3 nights - just wouldn't stay any longer. It's also kinda far from St. Louis - it's about a 30 minute drive to the city.

Mmarty, Thanks for the reply. How far is the river from the hotel? I realize the distance from St. Louis, but would like to give this place a try anyway. Thanks for the info-I really appreciate it.

They recently opened a new tower to the hotel complex and remodeled the entry areas too.
The Missouri River is about 1/4 away from the hotel/casino. However there is no river access. The casino part sits in a moat that is connected to the river.
The hotel/casino is about 1/2 mile from the UMB bank Pavillion and a large office park. Express Scripts is based there and has many of the buildings in the office park.
Downtown/Old Town St. Charles is only about a 5 minute drive away. You'll really enjoy that area. Lots of little shops and a couple of nice places to eat/drink.
St. louis Mills is about 10 minutes to the north. Another big boring mall in the middle of the flood plain. However there's tons of shopping there if that's you're thing.
