need hotel advice at LAX

We need to stay one night at LAX between connecting flights. Which hotels do you recommend?

Little higher end

Sheraton
Hilton
Embassy Suites

Middle of the road but very clean and many free options as in breakfast and wi-fi

Hilton Garden Inn
Doubletree

All run a shuttle

Courtyard by Marriot LAX or the Hilton Garden Inn El Segundo. Foghorn Harbor Inn is basic but clean and right at the marina.

My parents often fly in & out of LAX and always stay at the Embassy Suites.

I recommend you bid on Priceline or try Hotwire. We always use these for airport hotels and usually get good deals. I just used Hotwire at LAX and got Sheraton Gateway for $81 and Westin for $85. You can use betterbidding.com to guess which hotel is listed but unnamed on Hotwire, based on the amenities. Biddingfortravel.com will show recent Priceline wins. But I figured any 4 star would be ok for a night there.

Possible complications would be how many people you have, since Priceline only guaranteed a room for 2 people and not sue about Hotwire. Also, if you need a shuttle, better check if all bidding possibilities offer a shuttle. I would think so, but best to make sure.

"Foghorn Harbor Inn is basic but clean and right at the marina." Marina del Rey? OP wants to stay near LAX, non? Any of the chains at LAX recommended above would be good.

All the chains (at least the 5 or 6 I've used) would be fine depending on your budget or if you have points.

I usually just bid priceline since I really don't care which chain I get.

Expedia has a 1 day sale on the Radisson at LAX today. It says 'from $100'. I haven't stayed there, but it seems a good price.
