need help with arizona itinerary
so far here are our plans
fly to phoenix...arrive at night...7:30...(not sure where to go or stay?)
Next day drive to sedona (how many hours?)
Stay at enchantment 3 nights.
Drive to Grand Canyon (stay 1 night)
Next day not sure where to stay...????/how many hours to phoenix? but want to end up in phoenix..and will spend 3-4 nights at fairmont princess..then fly home.
need some guidance..will be traveling with 3 kids (5, 11, 14) and their grandmother....

Two hours +/- ... easy drive once you get out of the Phoenix traffic.
how many hours to phoenix? (from GC)
About four hours from the south rim entrance to the Phoenix airport area, unless you hit rush hour traffic near Phoenix.

Favorites in Phoenix/Scottsdale area: Royal Palms (may be too fancy for your children), Arizona Biltmore (movies by the pool for kids), Doubletree (Hilton) in Scottsdale. Arizona Biltmore is closest to highway leading up to Sedona. Enjoy Enchantment - loved it there (great spa). If you mountain bike, BE SURE to wear helmets!!

Stayed at both Princess and Enchantment and both are fab resorts..
I love the Yavapai restaurnat at Enchantment for lunch..
Great spa but it is 4-5* luxury and prices do reflect that but what the heck!
Coming back from Sedona, I would drive to Jerome on the way home and walk and have lunch at the Asylum at the Jerome Grand Hotel..great food and it's haunted..
Jerome is a lovely old mining town and they have lots of artists and great for shopping for an hour or two..
