I am wondering how far you have gotten in your search for a home, school district... I am also relocating a family to Colorado in the Fall. We are thinking about moving to Denver or Fort Collins? Any advice would be appreciated

Hi,
Love to know where discover ended up. I am thinking about Longmont. Looks like alot of available and new housing. Plus my husband needs easy access to the airport. Any negatives about Longmont or the commute?

I would suggest Lone Tree, right off 25 exit on Lincoln. We lived there for 3 years, just moved to Houston last year. Our neighbor was a UA 747 captian. We also flew out DEN (DIA) a lot. 470 is very convenient.

I would say there are definitly places that are closer than Longmont to DIA. Aurora along E-470, Parker, Lone Tree are all closer and easily accessable to the Highways. You could still do more Northern also and be a little closer but I've had to make several trips up to Ft. Collins and Boulder in the last few months and I hate the drive on I-25 once you hit Thornton and further North. Traffic can be really bad in that area and they have lots of road construction (making the road wider) that will probably be going on for awhile. Definitly visit all areas before deciding to move.
