Which one is the best? Worst? Also, which one of these- -open-air gondola or vintage coach (like schoolbus).

Finally-- if gondola-- does it matter which side you sit on?

Also are the routes the same? IF we do the Cascade one what will we not see or miss? Things are booking up.

TA stands for TripAdvisor.

DH and I have tickets for 8/13 for the RT Durango to Silverton. We decided on the steam train simple because of the departure time LOL which is 9:00 am versus diesel at 8;00 am. We chose the Cico Animas car because the Pullman seats looked more comfortable. Maybe a little quieter too.

When are you going? Happy to do a trip report of how it goes.
