Need Disney/Orlando HELP!!
Going to Orlando during Memorial Day week (yikes!) from Sat.-Sat. Need help deciding which days to do what! Going to Magic Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Universal Studios and Sea World. Any advice as do which days at which park will be greatly appreciated...we are trying to avoid the big crowds, obviously! Thanks a bunch!!!

I just returned from there Saturday. This made my third trip in as many years. Two previous ones were done in early June and July. You're biggest problem will be the Magic Kingdom. DO NOT GO THERE ON THE WEEKEND! It's wall to wall little kids getting upset because they have to stand in line for 45 minutes to ride Winnie the Pooh or see Mickey. I found it was easier going to visit a Disney park the day after their "early entry" day. Whatever day you go, make sure to get there as early as possible, preferably as soon as the parks open. If you don't get there til after 11 AM, be prepared to wait in lines for everything.
Universal Studios does'nt seem as congested, but again, expect lines if you don't get there early. I suggest the multiday pass that will let you go from park to park. I found that when Islands of Adventure was crowded, Universal Studios was less congested. One great thing Universal offers that Disney doesn't, is the ability to make "reservations" for three rides with more of your input on when you want to come back. Disney limits you to one ride "reservation" at a time.
Sea World didn't pose much of a problem . Obviously, there were lines for their two rides, but the waits weren't unbearable. And.. the Shamu show was great!

HI Kris, I live in Orlando and have been to most of these parks many times. I think Disney-Magic Kingdom is best visited on early Sunday mornings (perhaps many are at church). The lines at Disney are terrible. They dont allow you to bring food in but I think it's ok for water and small snack items, if you have small children, you will be glad. My personal favorite is Sea World and you can walk around, more leisurely, and enjoy the different attractions without standing in line all day. If you have any specific questions, you may email me and I will try to help you.

Well, I don't know if I can help you to avoid big crowds, I work at Universal and Memorial day is kind of big. I could help you get information packages delivered to your house, it would at least help you to figure out where to go and when. I'll be here tomorrow. Ike

Hi, I live in Orlando and I tell you what. Memorial day is kind of busy but still not too bad compared to the summer. A friend of mine has a website and he sends free info packages made up of brochures for all those parks. It may help you to decide which days to go in which parks. 407-425-6478, his name is Ivan.
