Need a condo in Maui for 4-6 people

I will be getting married in Maui next April and plan to spend the week before the wedding in Maui with part of my family (4 - 6 of us).
Since we will be in a nice hotel (probably in Wailea) for the wedding/honeymoon, thought we would all stay in a condo in Kaanapali for the first week. Had been looking at the Kaanapali Alli and The Whaler. Can anyone give me feedback on these or other suggestions?

We would prefer to be close to activities, including golf and in a place with nice ocean views from the room.

Along with condo suggestions, any recommendations about the best way to book it (directly with the condo office or through a travel agent) would be appreciated...Julie

Hi, heres something to look into. Aston Kannapali Sores, the Mahana. this is a very nice place, and all units face the ocean. Worth looking into.

Kaanapali Alii is the most luxurious condo on Kaanapali Beach. It is in a perfect central location and is MUCH nicer than the Whalers condo. If you want something less expensive, then Mahana is a great choice (though less luxurious) and it has the best oceanfront views of ANY condo on Maui. The Kaanapali Shores is NOT the same as the Mahana, and does not have as good views from every room.
LOTS more Maui info, restaurants, sights, activities, hotels, etc, is in the 30-page paper you can print from this web site:

Julie-
We just returned from Maui this week- we had 6 people in our group as well. I can understand what you are going through with trying to find the perfect place to stay. I had a hard time finding a three bedroom in the area we were looking for- Kaanapali. We booked a 2bd/2ba condo at the Maui Eldorado Resort-Outrigger property. It turned out to be great! It was 1700 SF and right on the Kaanapali golf course! They do not have oceanFRONT rooms, but they do have spectacular oceanVIEW rooms! Our was great. I also thought their rates were very reasonable. they have their own private beach cabana which is very convenient for guests- it also had a good family atmosphere. you can check out their website at www.outrigger.com. Please feel free to email me if I can help any further! Congratulations and have a wonderful trip!
