Tulane graduation and a major convention. If you haven't booked yet, it's unlikely you'll find anything nice. Sorry!

It's actually a little worse than that...not only Tulane's graduation, but also Loyola's graduation and still another school whose name I can't remember. I'd try another weekend or another town!

We were trying to find a hotel for the last week in April back in mid-Feb. when the jazz fest schedule came out. All of the hotels downtown and in the quarter were sold out. It was hard but we found the Wyndham in Metarie - not too far if you have a rental car. Or maybe Slidell or Kenner if you don't mind being out of the city. Good luck. It's amazing what conventions can do to that towns vacancy rates. I though Chicago could get bad!

I don't believe New Orleans has a Wyndham in Metairie, unless it's a hotel that has very recently been reflagged. Could you be talking about the DoubleTree?

Ooops...John is correct. My reference in Metarie is for the Doubletree. Chocolate chip cookies and all that. Thank you John for the correction.

Tracy, the DoubleTree Lakeside is very nice. You should be pleased. Since Jazz Fest isn't in the French Quarter anyway, location isn't as big of a deal.
