Yep! Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger!! But also meatloaf? Isn't that distinctly American? And also BBQ? Like good ol' Southern BBQ? Smoked brisket, ribs, etc. Yummmm, getting hungry just thinking about it.

I'll aim a bit higher on the culinary scale and say turkey. I've rarely found it on menus outside the US and it is the one dish that essentially defines a holiday. Can you say that about a cheeseburger?

I like the idea of turkey. These birds were native to the Americas and popularized on dinner tables in the US, so that would be classy. Giving these butt-ugly birds their props culinarily, so to speak.
Still, I do love burgers. However, fries are Belgian (made from potatoes that got to Europe from Peru), so you may have to substitute a more pure American side dish. Boston Baked Beans? Macaroni and Cheese? Hmmm....

Fajitas, true Tex-Mex is unique and NOT Mexican!
It's what I crave when I travel. Oh that and a HUGE glass of Unsweet Iced Tea with GOBS of ice... not just the 2 pieces that you get in other countries.
