Since I got such great suggestions on the last two trips I've taken, here I go again! Next month, my mom and I and my 13 year old daughter are going to Nashville for our annual Mother's Day outing. My daughter wants to see the Country Music Hall of Fame and would like to see a performance at the Grand Ole Opry. Any suggestions on how to get tickets? Any suggestions on what to do that all three generations might enjoy? Any suggestions on reasonably priced restaurants with good food? We will be there May 8-12. Any help is appreciated!
I'm not sure why you picked Nashville if you don't know what there is of interest in city...but in answer to your question, I bet you could get tickets online from the Grand Ole Opry Web site. If you like museums and gardens, Cheekwood is good.
Actually my daughter chose it, partly because we've never been there and because of the Country music Hall of Fame. We do have a general idea from guidebooks, but it's always nice to get either a local's perspective or one from someone who has been there.
I believe we got our tickets to the Grand Ole Opry online as well - try

I would think your daughter and your Mom would both enjoy the Wildhorse Saloon. They have line dancing lessons and bands and something for every age group.

It's fun to go out to the Opryland Resort & Convention Center - many shops, restaurants, you can take a boat ride - this place is huge - but I wouldn't necessarily stay there - it's kinda far out from downtown Nashville.

We also visited the Hermitage - Andrew Jackson's home. We found it very interesting.

That's at least a good start. Have a great time!

Pam: we did all that you suggested, and we loved it! We were fortunate enough to book the Opry for the night Carrie Underwood was inducted as a member....my daughter was swooning! Thanks for the tips!
