We are planning our 4th anniversary trip in Feb, and it might be the last for a while as we want to start a family soon. Our first trip was to New Orleans, and we had a blast. We've been to San Antonio which was pretty fun and Savannah which was beautiful but kind of boring at night. This year I want to go back to New Orleans, but my wife really does not like to go somewhere twice. She is pushing for Memphis, Nashville, or Miami, but says it is my choice. I've done some research on the three cities, but I still don't know what to expect. I would love to hear some opinions of people who have been to all four cities.

No question, New Orleans.

Memphis and Nashville are okay but not worth a special trip, in my humble opinion.

Miami is a good second choice.

Miami can be a lot of fun depending on your age, budget and whether or not you like clubbing and beaching.
I personally like going new places.
I'd vote for Miami.
Plus, it'll be better weather than NO in February.

If you want nightlife and you don't want to go back to N.O. then it's got to be Miami. If you are thinking of having a family, do the Miami nightlife thing now. I with your wife, although I'd love to go back to N.O. and some other places I've been, it just doesn't seem right when there are some many other great places to explore!

Thanks for all the advice. We really arent into the clubbing thing, we just like alot of commotion at night. Miami sounds like the place to go, but for some reason I can't bring myself to buy the tickets. I keep doing research into Memphis, whats Beale St. like? And if people keep telling me not to go there I'll drop it right now.
