Nashville for 5 days
We are headed to Nashville the end of Sept. we will be there for 5 days. This is our first time there I am wondering if that is too long of a time? We would like to do a history tours, interested in Southern homes. Of course the music scene as well. We would also like to tour a distillery to purchase some moonshine to bring home. We have a car so we can travel to some surrounding places of interest as well. Also any ideas for some eateries will be good Any good restaurants that are a must would also be appreciated. Thanks for any advice.

tomfuller we are traveling from Pa. Northeast. We have decided to shorten our stay in Nashville and are spending a day in Pigeon Forge. We will more than likely visit Dollywood. Then travel on to Nashville. so that gives us 3.5 days in Nashville. We will go to that distillery I would like to do the tour of Andrew Jacksons home. My husband not interested in Memphis, Graceland. We will take a tour I suppose on the bus hop on hop off. Grand old Opry etc. I had wanted originally to do Memphis but the tour is steep including Graceland $175 pp. Includes Graceland tours. I Like the king of rock and roll but not that much. $350 total.

If you want to tour a bourbon distillery, you may want to stop in Kentucky on The Bourbon Trail, on your way down or back to PA. For moonshine, try the Old Forge Distillery in Pigeon Forge. Recommend a tour of The Hermitage in Nashville. If you are there on a Tuesday night you can usually catch a show at the Ryman, the original home of the Grand Ole Opry. On Friday or Saturday night, the Opry will be at the Opry House. It is always a great show.
