Nashua NH Restaurants?

Will be in Nashua for 1 day, a Saturday in early November. Does anyone have suggestion(s) for a pleasant place to have a simple lunch? Thought it would be nice to have an alternative to the hotel dining room. Thanks

Michael Timothy's on Main Street in Nashua has a website: www.michaeltimothys.com which will tell you everything you need to know. I've been there only for dinner, but they do serve lunch. Dinner is excellent. Donna of DJK Books, a frequent poster here, will have suggestions too I'm sure.

Michael Timothy's would be an excellent (though pricey) choice. I can still remember the corn and lobster chowder we enjoyed there one brisk autumn Saturday noontime with the leaves blowing about beyond the windows (not always available, though). Do call first, though, as they are not ALWAYS open for lunch on Saturday. Another great choice for lunch on Main Street is Martha's Exchange - extensive menu, low to moderate prices, nice atmosphere. There's fabulous shopping along Main Street, by the way, and no sales tax in New Hampshire. I would also mention that, as hotel dining rooms go, most of the hotels in Nashua have terrific dining rooms on site, especially the Sheraton and Crowne Plaza.

Thank you both very much. Either one sounds great and actually we will be at the Sheraton, but if it's a lovely day will want to "get out" for a bit -- especially if these two on Main Street are within walking distance and I suspect the hotel dining room may be very busy too.
Thanks again for your help.

The Sheraton is not within walking distance to Main Street, I'm sorry to say. In fact, it's not all that near downtown Nashua; you will need a car. The Sheraton is just off Rt. 3; you could, I suppose, walk to some shopping but not to downtown.
