Napa Valley- Villagio or Silverado Resort

First time Napa visitors. Mid-July trip planned. Need recommendation regarding staying at Villagio or Silverado Ranch. I have checked both Internet Sites and they both look nice....any advice??? Thank You

Do you mean the regular old Silverado Resort?
Both are nice places but the Villagio is in Yountville and is within walking distance to some very fine restaurants like Fr Laundry, Bouchon's, Bistro Jeanty, Hurley's, Napa Valley Grill.

The Silverado may be a bit far out from town so you may want to keep that in mind when you pick.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. You may just have to drive a bit more at Silverado.

Excellent...good breakfast place a few blocks up...Pacific Blues Cafe...in July it would be nice to sit on the deck for b'fast.

Nice Italian place too for b'fast located behind Vinatge 1870...name escapes me but also has outdoor dining and some very good coffee.

And if you see a big arse on a bike seat followed somewhat closely but a
5' nuthin' gal on her "Shetland Pony bike", give us some room please!

We liked Cakebread, Coppola and Rombauer.
You may want to try typing "Napa Wineries" in the "text search". Lotta good tips....and don't limit yourself to NV, try Sonoma too...only a few mins. away...but watch for bike riders!
"Peddlin' my arse all over the valley Kal"

ps...try the "Wine Os Only" thread on "other topics" forum too. Lotta helpful wine-os!
