How far is the Amtrak Mystic station from Old Mystic Village / Aquarium?

Are taxi's readily available at the station?

Run a search, key word "Mystic," and you'll find several threads. I asked a similar question a few months ago.

The train station is about a 4-5 mile drive from the Old Mystic Village & Aquarium. I believe there are taxis to these locations. The train station is however within walking distance from downtown Mystic, which has lots of accomodations, shopping, and restaurants. You should find other info at cshell.com Good luck!

Ted: Did you ever make it up to Mystic with Amtrak from Manhattan? If so where did you stay and how did you like it? Thanks.

I did this a few years ago. Cabs were not that plentiful. We found a better solution for our return trip.
There is a city bus that goes from the New London Amtrak Station right to the Aquarium. I cannot remember the name of the bus service but it was a municipal service, not a private one.
