Hello everyone, the next year i would like go to San Francisco on holiday. this is the first time,Could i have any tips about , some attractions ,best time to go, things to do and lifestyle.

Not " the majors", but fun/interesting......
One of the hidden gems is the Filbert Steps, whose top is just down the block from Coit Tower. (Bottom ends at Levi Strauss plaza.) There are gardens, houses accessed only from the staircase, and a flock of wild parrots--a unique little oasis in the midst of the bustling city.
If you're wandering in The Haight to see Victorians, stop by Mendels, an interesting fabric/art supply/hardware store, with some items not found elsewhere.
There is a buffalo herd in Golden Gate park, if you've never seen one.
Ocean Beach, by trolley, is a "city" beach, but fairly wild (and windy) feeling, and can be a nice stroll.
Berkeley, by BART, has some interesting areas to wander around, browse shops, stop for a coffee, and is usually warmer/sunnier than the city.

If you have the choice -- visit in the Fall. The best weather is in September/early October. If that doesn't work for you, then late April/May is good. It often surprises visitors but 'Summer' (June/July/August) can be quite cool (or downright cold) and foggy whereas September is usually fabulous.

Funny thing about the sea lions in San Francisco - in the morning you may see them by Pier 39, then in the afternoon by the Cliff House (restaurant and look-out point). That’s worth a visit! Take the 38 (Geary) Bus all the way, and when you get off, marvel at the wind-blown trees, and the views from the cliffs. Bring your camera!

Here’s the kicker: Just below the Cliff House is a walk-in camera, a little hut with a hole in the ceiling that projects light into the hut, onto a round surface, just like a camera lens projects light onto film or a sensor.

You’ll see the outside world (after a couple of minutes during which your eyes need to adjust) the way a camera would see it. Very cool! See www.giantcamera.com

So many tours offered, everyone can find something that is of interest to them; we done closes to 3 dozen tours.

This is a non-profit group; tour guides are volunteers that do these tours because of their love of the city and the tour subject.

They are free, but a donation is appreciated and goes to help defray program costs; they don't go to guide. $10 is great, more or less is ok too.
