It's too bad those ridiculous horse and carriage rides aren't banned. The horses' comfort is not insured when the temperature rises to 85 degrees so the arbitrarily chosen 89 degrees is ridiculous. It's a New York tradition from another time that has no relelvance now. The price is high and the short ride is a rip-off.

For something 'new' New York, why not take a licensed pedi-cab ride through the park instead?
