The Seattle news sources don't have a word about Mount St. Helens....but there was a landslide on Highway 26 on the way up to Mt. Hood in Oregon.

Actually, the landslide that has been all over the local news is located just about 75 yards west of the tunnel on the west side of Portland. ALL lanes both west and east are currently closed on this major hwy due to this land slide. Eastbound will only be closed for a couple of hours.

Burnside, which is an alternate route, also had a landslide. All of this is causing major traffic headaches all over Portland! Ugh!

I am not going out again today except to walk!

Yeah... good thing this is spring break week here, and traffic is relatively light. Hwy 26 westbound from Portland is the major arterial, so to have it closed at rush hour today is going to make more than a few people unhappy.
