If it's an upscale, antique or exotic car and you want an enclosed carrier then contact Horseless Carriage (www.horselesscarriage.com) - none better.

If you want something less expensive there are a number of "car shipping brokers" that will make all the arrangements for you: You'll find a list of the top auto transport brokers here: https://www.move.org/best-car-shipping-companies/

You should know that the majority of the 1,000's of auto transport carriers in the US are independent operators and it's sometimes difficult to find one 9by cold calling) who can pick-up and deliver on your timetable. The "transport brokers" function as a clearing house for the independent carriers and do all the scheduling for you. Cost is based on distance and whether you want enclosed or open carrier. You or your representative have to be on hand at each end to "drop off" and "receive the car. You'll usually be given a 2 day "pick-up window" with the delivery date a little less specific so it pays too be flexible.

I gave you a reply but it went to the moderators for review because it contained website links. It will probably show up in a day or two. In the meantime check out a company called Horseless Carriage. Also do an internet search for Auto Transport companies and you'll find a list of brokers who can help you.

A pal used to get her car shipped from Md to FL when she wintered there. I'll see if she still has a company name...it has been a few years.

Just seeing Roams great info!

With the shortage of rental cars in many areas of the country, you may find someone willing to drive it for not much more than the price of gas. There is at least one company that sets up drivers with people who want their car moved. You can tow it behind a UHaul box truck if you are moving stuff besides the car.
