I'm with RedRock. I live in Colorado and I haven't been to Alaska yet, but the Tetons take my breath away every time I visit.
Since there is no right answer, it will be fun following this thread and reading the replies.

Colorado.
I don't know about June in Colorado, but in June we have been caught in snow storms in New Mexico, Arizona, Wyoming, and Montana.
If your headine were "Most scenic mountains in North America," I would have said the Canadian Rockies in the Banff-Jasper area and environs.

Mid June is perfect to go to Mount Denali National Park and see the Alaska Range in all it's glory. I've been through Western Canada and the US up to the Jungfraujoch and the Japan Alps but the most beautiful view I've ever seen was at the bottom of the Wickersham wall looking some 18,000 feet straight up.....awesome sight.

Mutzer I live in Mississippi so mountains are dear to my heart. All we have here in the MS Delta is flat land and a big river. I have been to Colorado probably 15 times and I absolutely love it but my latest mountain trips have been to Canada, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. I loved the Rockies in Banff and Jasper. You can fly into Calgary, rent a car and be in Banff in about two hours I think. I was there in mid May and it snowed a good bit. There were animals everywhere such as Elk, Sheep and Deer. I would vote for a trip to Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper. Jasper Park Lodge was really nice. I have not been impressed with Yellowstone as much as Grand Teton. GT is much smaller but I would prefer to mix a trip to somewhere like Jenny Lake Lodge and a few days in Jackson along with the GT mountain tours. I think the mountains of Montana would be a great trip. I'm flying to Missoula in January to visit Resort at Paws Up to snow mobile and dog sled ride along with a day trip to Glacier. Try the Canadian trip and Colorado too. I have friends that live in Ouray, CO that love it. I have not been to Telluride or Ouray but I have been to Aspen and Vail many many times. It's very pretty. Good luck.

Hmmm, I'm in Colorado as well. My screen name is actually a 14er in Colorado. I have not been to Alaska, but I have been to the Tetons. Although the the Tetons are breathtaking, the Colorado mountains have much more variety. You just have to know where to go.

This is almost like picking your favorite child,my favorites changes to where ever I happen to be at the time. I suppose if I had to choose I would have to pick Colorado just for the shear number of mountains.

I've been to Alaska, Rocky Mountain National Park (five times), Grand Tetons (twice), and the Sierra Nevada (also twice).
Another vote for the Banff region. The Icefields Parkway just blew me away when I drove it.
