Monterey and Big Sur lodging

I'm planning 2-3 days in August with 3 kids
(ages 9,14.16) Where would you stay?
Most of the places seems so Romantic.
We want nice and also fun for the kids.
Thanks,

L is correct. Nice rates, facilities and beach access.

Ditto on both above. Great setting and you can walk across the street to the beach. Asilomar will do what you want.

yes, Asilomar would be great with kids. Otherwise look at the Wayside Inn in Carmel which has kitchen facilities. Have fun.
