re the foo-foo stuff, when I was looking for Ashland (Oregon) lodging one of the b&b's said 'teddy bears' and I didn't even bother checking for availability. I don't want to be there and I don't want to give these people money.
We ended up with Holiday Inn Express reservations. Sigh.
