Moderately Priced Hotels in Tucson

I'm looking for a hotel that is walking distance to shops and restaurants and where we could walk out at night. Embassy Suites on Broadway? Residence Inn on Speedway? I don't know Tucson at all, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Karen. Unfortunately they are sold out for the dates we'll be there. Any other thoughts?

Hi,

Marriott near the University (not sure of what the exact name of it is). Lots of stuff within walking distance, though it is your typical college block or restaurants and shops.

Or maybe the Clarion downtown. Lots of stuff to see, good places to eat (great Mexican food at El Charro and Cafe Poca Cosa) and fun on "Downtown Saturday nights".

The two places that you mentioned are further east, and (IMHO) surrounded by some malls, and busy roads (although this does qualify for being near food and shops, just not too much Tucson ambiance).

Have fun!

Abby,
I checked out the Clarion website. It sounds really great and the price is great too!
Thanks so much.
Sue
