Midwest Express to NYC - Which airport?

Have a choice of booking ourselves on a flite to LaGuardia or Newark. Will probably be staying mid-town. Which offers the most affordable options for bus or public transportation into the city? Thanks!

By charter bus company, the cost should be about equal.

By public transportation, the trip from Newark will be much easier as the airport tram now links to NJ Transit trains into New York. The cost is $11.

However, from LaGuardia public trasportation via a bus to the subway will be cheaper.

Taxi fare considerably cheaper from LGA. Cost would be between $20 and $25 as opposed to a cost of at least $40 from EWR. Airport bus to the city approximately the same cost from either. A new train link from EWR to Penn Station is probably the fastest way to the city. Cost is competative with the airport bus. Least expensive way cost from LGA to the city is via a bus/subway combination, $1.50

The supershuttle out of Laguardia to midtown is $15 and from Newark to midtown is $19.

Take a cab from LaGuardia. You'll save much vacation time and it only costs $25 to midtown. Time is money!

Thanks to all for the replies...and esp for the taxi insight from Terry and rqf - if a taxi equates to two airport bus fares.

Are y'all aware of Midwest Express's fare sale (buy by 1/ll) on flights into September?
