Miami Restaurant Before Simon and Garfunkel

Going to Miami Dec 17 to see Simon and Garfunkel. The concert starts at 8:00 p.m at the American Center. Does anyone have suggestions as to where to get a quick but nice dinner before the concert and still make the 8:00 starting time. Also any suggestions as to after the concert South Beach night-life. Thanks

Don't have any restaurant recs, sorry, but I did see the show here in Detroit and it was GREAT! I'm sure you'll enjoy it immensely!

Traffic and parking are always crazy before any event at the arena. To make things easier for you, i'd suggest eating at one of the restaurants in Bayside (an outdoor shopping/entertainment complex next door to the arena). There's an Argentinian steakhouse called Los Ranchos that's good. You can check their website for a list of all of the restaurants...

I too would suggest preparking and be in place by going to dinner at Bayside. There are a number of places there, from regular restaurants to a rather nice food court sort of place. A number of people swear by the Bubba Gump Shrimp place.

I had a pretty good meal at Coconuts ( I think the name is) by Bayside Marketplace right on the water by where the tour boats are. However, Bayside Martketplace has a multitude of places to eat on the top level.

Also traffic and parking is a pain in South Beach, you will more than likely have to park at a garage. But as for nightlife on South Beach on a Wednesday night, check StreetMiami.com, the local happenings paper online.

PS They are opening up a Bubba Gump Shrimp is Times Square soon.
