Miami Hotels

Is Miami okay for a couple to go to in the Month of May? We were thinking of either staying at Loews Miami Beach or The Raleigh? Any feedback/comments would be appreciated.

I love Miami and would have a blast there for a month.

I would skip Memorial Weekend in South Beach as it is Urban Hip Hop Weekend. Think spring break in Destin. Lots of kids partying, about 300,000 celebrating. Visit www.blackbeachweek.com for more information. If that's your scene, you'll have a blast!

I love both The Raleigh and The Loews. I think the Raleigh has a big Sunday pool party.

I'm not interested in a big partying weekend. I'm going there w/ my boyfriend. We just want to relax and have a good time. Is May okay for good weather?

Very good advice from Go Travel. I totally agree with her. I would go to Miami anytime I had the chance, but it is a different environment when there is a big crowd/group there. Memorial Day/Labor Day weekend can be a nightmare with the crowds. I've stayed at Loews and its a really great place. Its also in a good location. You can walk to Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive, etc.. Although, I really love the Delano. The pool is picture perfect.

I was there in May and the weather was really hot actually...so if you are looking for hot weather where you can go swimming you will be fine. Lincoln Road is a nice place for couples to go. Its lined with out door cafes and shops.

The Loews is our favorite. Great newish rooms, none of the attitude of the Delano. They can be really weird there at the Delano. The Loews is in the middle of it all, but not cheap. Get a Ocean View room and you'll be very happy. The Royal Palms Crowne Plaza next door is sometimes ALOT less and almost as good!!!
