We are going to the boat show also. I don't know if you have ever gone to it before, but my suggestion is to go the first day - which is the 14th. It is VIP day and the place is not crowded at all. From Friday to Sunday, the place is a mob scene.

I take it you will be staying on Collins Ave. This is where the huge Brokers Boat Show is. The Yachts start at 2 mill. on up and it is something to see. From there they have shuttles that run all day to the convention center where the new boats are. There is also another in the boat show at the Marriot which is also a must see. They have shuttles all over for that.

May I make a huge suggestion. Be extremely careful ie: wallets, parking cars watches etc. All of the professional theives come them.

Are car was broken into last year by some professionals. They are very slick and stay on the top floors of all the surrounding hotels and watch the tourists as they leave their cars.

If you park - NEVER GO BACK TO THE TRUNK OF YOUR CAR!!! They will rob you blind.

We stay in Lauderdale and drive in, but Doral is nice. We have friends staying at Pier 66. All of the hotels on Collins Ave are nice. Get a front room with the view of the ocean.

South Beach resturants are a little walk, but worth it.

We find that eating in Ft Lauderdale (an hour drive) is worth the travel. Las Olas Blvd has many resturants and they are all great.

If you are into loud wild party's , South Beach and River Walk in Lauderdale are the places to be.

Have fun and I hope this has helped you out.

Hi Sam its me again. After reading my babbling response I just want you to know that the Doral is a hike to the Convention Center. The boat show is in the center of Miami. You will see signs all over the place.

If you are going to buy a boat call the manufacturer and they will provide Limo Service for you. Se Ray is very good at it.
