The MGM has several pools, all basic with nothing particularly targeted to kids. However, the Lazy River "pool", which seems to be the kids' favorite, does have an area with a waterfall. I've not seen it, but I think I've read that the Flamingo has a pool with a waterslide.

Speedos? If you've got the body for 'em, why not?

Aren't most pools family friendly? Of all the pools that I have been to in Vegas, all have kids around.

Most all have women in bikini's and guys in speedo's...it is a pool for heavens sake! Wear what you are comfortable in.

If you are going there to be noticed...leave the kids/family at home.

speedos? ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww - I thought those were outlawed years ago by the fashion police - if not, they should have been - yes - that will scare children and anyone else who sees them!

Actually, the trend in Vegas is to have adult-only/aka European/aka topless optional pools along with the normal kid friendly pools. These types of pools would more likely welcome the "speedo" look. I've been to the European pool at Caesars aka "Venus" and Mandalay now has the Moorea Beach Club which is topless friendly and I'd be surprised if a Speedo causes any grief. I believe all of MGM's pools are family friendly, you may want to stay elsewhere to fully enjoy your Speedo in all it's glory.

garrett1990,

I sure hope you are staying at the MGM because you have family with you. Yes, the pools there are family friendly. How family friendly are they? You'll encounter about a bajillion kids going in all of the pools there. And I do mean "going" in all the pools.

I fail to see why a Speedo is by definition not family friendly. But then, I also fail to see why parenthood turns otherwise sane people into prudes.

Because in America we're conditioned into finding the outline of male genitalia to be provocative along with a female being topless on a beach or breastfeeding in public (maybe not provocative but considered in poor taste-no pun intended). The outline of a female nipple (through clothing) was censored on network TV the other night at 9PM so such things have been deemed inappropriate by our government (FCC).

Loki, get some sleep, honey.

Garrett, sounds as if you'll scare more adult women than kids. Be certain to have your back waxed pre-flight, ok?
