Metro help needed
We are staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Embassy in DC. I want to get from our hotel to Huffington Station as early as possible on Sunday morning. Trying to get to Mount Vernon. I have tried to look on Metro website for their schedules but cannot figure it out. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I just went to the trip planner, put Dupont Circle in the travel from, Mount Vernon in the travel to and chose Sunday as my day and 8:00 as the depart time and the planner worked just fine.
It appears you have to take a Fairfax Connector, not a Metro bus, from the Huntington Ave Metro station
Remember - walk left, stand right on Metro escalators.

For the record, people don't generally look up Metrorail schedules, only hour of operation. The trains come by every 10-15 minutes or so on the weekends. You can check to see if there is any rail work being done that will cause delays due to single tracking. On weekends, always build in extra time on Metrorail if you need to get somewhere at a particular time.
It is a good idea to look at and print bus schedules, though.

If you used the planner, then you would see the Fairfax Connector options. It is the bus system that runs in Fairfax County. The WMATA trip planner gives you which ones go to Mt. Vernon then you can click on the words Fairfax Connector and pull up the website to find the schedules.
