Mesquite, NV lodging?

Hi, all,

I've done a search here but most of the few posts seem to be old. Also tried some other sites that rate lodging but the results were scant and varied widely. Therefore I'm turning to my fellow fodorites for help.

Can anyone recommend a place to stay in Mesquite for one night? Or is there any place there you'd recommend we avoid?

Thanks for your help.

I have been traveling through Mesquite 3-4 times a year, staying at least a night in each direction on every trip. I am,in fact, headed there tomorrow to buy a retirement home to be closer to my kids and grandkids.

I have always stayed at the Virgin River Hotel and Casino on the north end of town. Since I have never stayed at the other places in town, I cannot compare for you but the Virgin River has always been clean and efficient.

It's a high volume casino hotel and not luxurious. Just a reasonably nice hotel with a pretty good buffet at a reasonable price. As far as I can tell, all your other hotel options in Mesquite are of equal or lesser quality.

Have a great trip.

You may also want to try www.casablancaresort.com. They offer great golf/spa overnight stays in the summer. Stayed there 3X, nice 3* place, great spa treatments.

Floriafran,

We have stayed at the Casablanca twice. It's a decent small to medium sized resort/hotel/casino. We've just used it as a passing through stopping point. The room rates were very inexpensive.

Thanks, again,

All we'll be doing is using this as a convenient stopping spot between points A and B. Don't really care what other amenities it has as long as it's clean, reasonalby quiet, and comfortable.
