Maui Weddings

Does anyone have a recommendation for a place to get married on Maui? I am considering the Grand Wailea or Ritz. Any comments or other ideas?

Aloha Jamie: Scott here, with www.Maui-Info.com. For excellent wedding recommendations, telephone Reverend Marsha Rogers on Maui at 808-665-0770, or email her at [email protected]. I have worked with her for years, and truly enjoy and appreciate her energy level and talent for working with people to make their weddings exactly what they have in mind. Tell her Scott from www.Maui-Info.com sent you! Aloha...

The Grand Wailea is the most spectacular resort on Maui, but it is on the South side, which I do not like as well as the West (Kaanapali) side. There is a more lush green look to the mountains on the west side, and you are close to the great town of Lahaina on the west side, and there are more wonderful restaurants on the west side. The Ritz is a gorgeous place, but in a cloudier location. My favorite Maui hotel is the Hyatt, which is a beautiful resort right on Kaanpali Beach, so I suggest you look into that one for your wedding.

LOTS more info about Maui restaurants, hotels, activities, sights, etc, at this web site:

(note it ends in org, not com)

Jamie: Scott here, from www.Maui-Info.com. Properties such as the Hyatt, Ritz, Grand Wailea, etc are going to charge you **thousands** to have your wedding on their grounds. Thus, my earlier suggestion that you contact Rev Marsha Rogers, who will be able to suggest/arrange romantic beach-type settings.

When you need more Maui-related information, come to www.Maui-Info.com

Aloha!

Hi Jamie: If you haven't had your wedding yet - we got married in August at the Kapalua Bay Hotel. It was absolutely perfect! They have a wonderful sales department with great wedding expertise. Very detail oriented and professional. Our wedding was better than we ever could have imagined. We looked at Kea Lani, and Stouffer Renaissance as well, but we were thrilled with every aspect at the Kapalua Bay Hotel. I highly recommend their property. Good luck!

We haven't actually gotten married with them yet, but we're planning our wedding through Hawaiian Island Weddings. Their web site address is http://www.maui.net/~weddings/
So far they've been very helpful and professional, and I think their prices look good. Email me if you'd like more info on how our experience with them has been so far. Whatever you decide on, have a great time!
