Maui - Kea Lani or other?

We're ready to book the Kea Lani in Maui using points and would like to hear from someone who's stayed there. Is it worth extra for the ocean view? Would the Four Seasons
at Wailea be a better choice?

Kry,

I've never regretted spending extra for an ocean view, and I HAVE regretted not spending it. Especially in Hawaii, you want to look at water, I think. Just make sure that your ocean view really is an ocean view, or give 'em hell about it!

Aloha, Lani

We stayed at the Kea Lani last June and absolutely loved it. It was beautiful, the service was great, and the rooms were amazing. We did not get an ocean view room but didn't really miss it as we were never in our room. The Four Seasons is right next door, I've heard great things about that as well. There is a beautiful path that goes along the cliffs overlooking the beach so you can walk to about 6 different Walilea resorts for dining or to use their beaches. You'll have a great time at either place.

You need to weigh out the pros and cons for you...Kea Lani ...2 rooms, 2 tvs, micro, frig, coffemaker, huge bathroom, gorgeous property and Four Seasons...big rooms but just 1, nice bathrooms, no mini "kitchen" like above, but cabanas, tennis, snorkelling equipment, use of fitness centre inc. in the rate. We got a partial ocean view at the Kea Lani and thought it was just fine. I usually don't opt for the oceanview to save money and because I am at the ocean all day.
