Maui Hotel Question

I am going to Hawaii for my honeymoon in June and am having trouble choosing hotels on Maui. . I've heard good things on this forum about the 4 seasons. I am holding a room there, but it is a mountain view, and I was informed, although it is on the 7th floor, it overlooks the parking lot, so there could be noise. That worries me. Has anyone stayed at the 4 seasons in one of these types of rooms before? The reservation rep told me it should not be an issue but that she had to inform me nonetheless. . .

I am also holding a room at the Westin and trying to get one at the Hyatt until I decide which one is the best. What are your views on the 3? How are the beaches at each resort? Thank you

I do not know anything about your mentioned hotels - I do know alot about the Rennaissance in Wailea. This is a wonderful hotel. It is open, clean as can be, beautiful gardens, and an excellent staff. The ocean side is your best bet for a room. If you have a Quest membership, through Amoco, you will receive a 50% discount. Also, the food is wonderful. We especially like The Sunset Terrace and the Palm Court. Wailea is a beautiful location.

Sarah, I've never stayed at the Four Seasons but got to wander around....it is a beautiful property! I would stay there if I could afford it. Of the other hotels you mention, I think I would stay at the Westin and then the hyatt is my 3rd choice. Although the Hyatt has a great pool and a nice property, it has aged a bit over the years and is not as nice as the other 2.

Thanks for your responses. I stayed at the Westin years ago (probably 15), but I had heard it is getting run down as well. Decisions, decisions. Maybe I'll just keep my room at the 4 Seasons. . .noise or no noise!

I have stayed at both the Westin and the Hyatt. Both are great properties. The location of the Westin is great because you can walk to lots of good places to eat and shop. Lelani's on the Beach is one of our favorite places to eat and it is right next to the Westin. If possible, request a room in the new wing. We moved last time we wer there and it was so much better. Definitely worth the extra money. Nice ocean views.
