Route 7 covers a lot of territory. There are many websites for lodging in the Berkshires, but note that there are many more than those listed on the web. So, you might want to try calling the tourist office for literature. They have a really comprehensive quide book they'll mail you. Note also that there are very nice places to stay a few miles or so off Route 7, with lower prices because they're not right on Route 7.

I was just in Mass, and we stayed at the Barrington Court in Great Barrington. It was really nice! Big fluffy towels, clean room, and a comfortable bed. We got a suite, which was more like a one bedroom apartment. It had a Queen bed, and two pullout couches. Not bad!
