The last time we were in Maui there was a great 'farmers' market in Kihei. I can't remember what day it was held. (Mon?) Does anyone know if it still exists, where it is located and what day(s) it is held? I know the same market set up in different areas of the island on different days. They sold great fresh fruit and veg. and fish, as well as a few tables of the usual touristy souvenir T-shirts.

Also, is anyone aware if there is such a market in Kauai?

Still hoping for a reply! And hoping the market still exists.

Message: There's a farmer's market in North Kihei, every Tues. & Fri. with the freshest produce and locally grown. It's in the parking lot of Suda's, 61 S. Kihei Road. Also, try the ribs from Azeka's and BBQ them yourselves! Yummy!

The best market we found on Maui is The Maui Swap Meet held every Saturday on Puunene Street near the McDonalds in Kahului. Great produce and local crafts.

Just got back from Maui. North Kihei market is every Mon., Wed., and Fri. afternoons. We also went to the Maui Swap Meet as posted above and it's a great place for flowers, souvenirs, T-shirts, jewellry, crafts, etc. Try the food @ the snack bar. You'll find it - follow your nose! Go early before it gets too hot! Every Sat. 7-Noon.
