Mariott New York East Side - Anyone ever stayed there?

Just got confirmation through Priceline that's where I'll be staying this weekend. Anyone ever stay there?

Yes, I stayed there a few nights in July. It was fine. My room was clean and quiet, the bed was very comfortable, service was excellent and the hotel's location was convenient for our needs. The only thing I didn't like about it was the bathroom did not have a fan and the mirror steamed up pretty quickly. I didn't eat there--went for lunch at Cafe Europe up the street and had delicious ciabatta roast turkey and avocado sandwiches. We went out for dinner at Sparks, a well known steak restaurant, which I though was good but not super special (my steak was too big to finish but not as tender as I had expected; the lobster one of the guys ordered was enormous and he said it was superb).

I've passed it several times and it's a great location, with plenty of places to eat and shop. Walk down Lexington to Grand Central Station. They have a wonderful food market there are a nice little food court downstairs - great gelato! I'd stay there in a heartbeat. Would you please tell us what you paid on Priceline?

Hi, I've stayed there a few times. I'm guessing this isn't a business trip (as you're using Priceline), but I post this here for the benefit of those searching the archives.

Do not use this if you're used to doing business from your hotel. My rooms had the old-style outlets without the third prong, which made it difficult for me to use my laptop, chargers, etc.

Great location. Nice otherwise.

Celeste, a great site to see what the going rate for priceline is
BiddingForTravel.com. You can also find out which hotels are coming up as well.
