Anne, I'm not sure I understand your question and what you need. When I used the Google Search Engine to try and get the website for you, using the name you supplied, "Manhattan apartments," all I got was a website for finding long term apartments in Manhattan. So, you need to supply a more complete name than what you used.
Are you visiting Manhattan for a vacation/holiday and want to rent a fully furnished and equipped apartment for a couple of weeks instead of just a hotel room?
If so, here they are commonly referred to as "vacation rentals."

Sorry if my enquiry was ambiguous. My sister and I are travelling to New York in early July. She suggested we stay at a fully serviced apartment in Chelsea that she thinks is called Manhattan Apartments. She also thinks there is one on 5th Ave near 50 something Street. She has stayed at the one in Chelsea before but is not sure of the name. As we are staying for 5 nights we thought this might be cheaper than a hotel and would also allow us to make meals rather than eat out all the time.
Does this help?
Thanks

Anne, it doesn't help me help you as the word 'apartment' is so generic.
However, here's what I suggest you do.
Use an excellent Search Engine called Google (I know, it's a silly name).
www.google.com
then, type in search words:
manhattan vacation rentals
Hopefully, one of the several websites that will then be listed (which you click on to read more) will have a proper name and/or address than you or your sister recognize.
Perhaps, someone else more familiar with the Chelsea district (neighborhood) will chime in here with a much better answer than I'm giving.
Good luck to you!

Just wanted to clarify two things - 1) Chelsea is in the vicinity if 7th &8th Avenues and runs from around 14th Street up to 28th 2) There is a hotel on 49th near 5th called Radio City Apartments. Much info in this foum - just do a search for that phrase. It's a hotel but they do have suites with separate bedroom and kitchenette in the living room. I suspect there are also weekly or monthly rates. It's rather plain and the decor is a bit dated but it's clean, quiet and in a very convenient location.

There are a number of serviced apartment buildings in NYC that operate together under the name Manhattan Suites. Perhaps that's what you are looking for. You might try a search under that name.It used to be Manhattan East Suites, but I think they may have dropped the East as they added more apartments.

Another note suggested there are a number of serviced apartment buildings in NYC that operate together under the name Manhattan Suites. The term "apartment buildings" might be a little misleading. Manhattan Suites operates ten suite hotels in Manhattan. If you want to check out their offerings go to www.mesuite.com

I'm from nyc...I think I recall hearing the agency called Manhattan Apartments. I'm not quite sure tho, but becareful with these services. I was once trying to look for an apt in nyc area, because I hate to commute from brooklyn out to the city...so I have decided to look for apts in the city. I have found services like I guess "mahattan apartments" which is supposed to help u look for an apt. I paid them $120 (service fee) thinking that I would get an apt in the city for a good price with guranteed of finding one. Little did I know, after I paid...they had only gave me a listing of apts that are for rents, but after making several of phone calls that were listed, I had realized that most of these numbers are probably fake because no matter what time of the day and night I call, no one ever answers the phone! Anyhow, I dont want to make this any longer...but just becareful with these kind of services.
Good luck!
