Mandalay Bay Dismay?

My husband and I will be staying at Mandalay Bay the end of May. I have been reading some dreadful experiences from on-line readers. I know it just opened in March and I'm hoping they will have worked out all of the kinks by May, but does anyone have anything good to say about this place or should I change hotels?

Dear ERosetti-
I've heard a lot of positive things about MB, though I haven't seen it yet. Go to: www.e-vegas.net/exchange. Click on "current articles" and read the many GOOD articles about MB. Also click on VEGAS VISITOR at that web site and read my many articles to help with your gaming and stay in L.V. Write to me at the address above if you'd like; I'll be glad to help. Let me know how your stay was. Thanks, and have a great time!

We just returned from Vegas Saturday. We stayed at our favorite, the Monte Carlo. We did go to the new Bellagio and Mandalay Bay. We found both beautiful, and individual in style. Bellagio obviously very upscale. We spent an evening at the Mandalay Bay. It's very well decorated. It is much more quiet, less hectic scene. We enjoyed sitting in beautiful stuffed chairs and listening to live music. They have several open areas with a variety of live bands. The House of Blues looked very interessting. Also, they have a fast moving club for the 21 - 40 crowd. There was some serious rockin' going on there last week. The Mandalay is truly nice. It depends on what you are looking for. I hate the dark, dreary casinos. The Monte Carlo is very light, open, elegant, yet you can kick back and have a great time. It's located between the two. You get great bang for your buck. They also have a terrific brewery with live music. Also, they have a food court as well as the tradition buffet, and restaurants. You can also take the tram to Bellagio, Caesars, Mirage, and Treasure Island. Save your feet!! The Mandalay is very nice.......tough decision
