Mammoth Cave in March

Hi everyone

we are planning to be in Mammoth Cave on March 20.
do you think this is a good period for this NP or will be too cold?

is it mandatory to visit the Park with a guided tour or we can do by ourselves?
any suggested tour (up to 2h)?

thanks a lot!

The temperature IN the cave is the same all year round. Have you been to the cave website? It explains all the possible tours.

It's a short walk from the visitor center to the cave entrance for most tours. Weather in March can be unpredictable, but temps may be around 60 by then.
