Suzie--yes, I am sure they were trying to show your kids the bigger/better pool
The locker room at the north pool is much, much better than the other. When we go with all the family, all the kids descend upon the pools like you described, lol! It is so much fun though

Thanks for the report, Suzie! Too bad you could't spend more time in Lake Tahoe, it's gorgeous in the summer.
I grew up going to LT every summer for a week with my family. Hubby and I took a few days off a couple of years ago and went there for four days. We so enjoyed the Inn by the Lake, Sand Harbor, taking a sunset sailboat cruise, the casino excitment, the gorgeous sandy beaches ( I love Kings Beach) and dining at the Dory's Oar for dinner.
We also enjoyed riding around the lake on our bikes and just taking in the beautiful scenery. It's definitely worth a trip back to spend a few days here. I heard the Ponderosa Ranch has closed, but if you're a Bonanza fan, that was always fun, too.
I always left with a gorgoues tan after a few days here. Sounds like you had a nice trip! I'm not a fan of Reno, either. ***kim***

Oh we'll be going to Tahoe soon now. I've spent my summers there for my whole life too! Growing up we had a 10 hour drive from southern CA but anticipating a 2 week stay there was enough to keep the 5 of us kids happy for the drive. So lucky to live within 1.5 hours now so we can go whenever we want.
It's a great place to vacation, so beautiful and relaxing. We stay on the west side mostly.
The kids just wanted to see Sunriver this year so we gave up our week in Tahoe for the week in Sunriver but we'll do a long weekend there soon. Can't really let the summer go by without a stay. Just wouldn't be right!

Forgot to add the DH was in line at the little grovery store in Sunriver and there was quite the buzz going on becuase the guy in front of him was Ronnie Lott. Of course there was a disagreement about whether he was a 9er or Raider!
