LV - Bellagio/Mandalay/Caesars- Book Direct For Least $$ or...?
No travel dates in mind, just wondering:
For the above hotels, is it worth the bother to sift through the hotel web sites for the best deals, or have you found the lowest prices elsewhere?
It seems when we go online and check the calendars on the sites, the great promotional prices triple!
We are not interested in "the cheapest room in Vegas," but rather the lowest price for either Bellagio, Caesars or Mandalay Bay as a getaway from cold and fog.
Thank you! Brrrrrr!

I recommend that you go into the websites of the hotels you're interested in and register for promotional e-mails. It's a good way to get some great deals. The cost, of course, depends on the time of year you want to visit. Also, Sunday - Thursday will be less expensive than the weekends in Vegas.
In September, my friends and I booked a suite at Bellagio for $299 per night. We checked in on Labor Day and were given an upgrade to an even larger suite (1,500 square feet). I think our timing was perfect. We were checking in at a slow time and not staying through the weekend. Voila - huge upgrade.
Good luck with your planning.

I start with Expedia and check around dates and times I am going and get some idea what the price are, then I go direct and see what they are offering..
I have been staying at the Wynn since it opened and with me signing up for their e-mail, they send me incredible deals..$119 a night along with $100 free play..that's a great deal for the Wynn!
Mid-week is always the cheapest..Sunday-Thursday.

I would second the suggestion that you go to the hotels' websites and get on their promotional emails.
In January of 2005, we stayed at the Bellagio for $119 for one night. (I went back and checked my trip notes.)
Off-hand, it seems like the best promotions I've seen are for certain dates in December and January.
If you aren't picky about dates, you could just start watching and dive in when you see a really good price.

I received an offer in email today for Bellagio rooms for $169 up. It lasts through Oct. 4th. It's offer D1694T, but it says it is non-transferable. We're hardly their frequent customers though so I'm guessing that you might be able to mention it and get the same rate. In any case, it doesn't hurt to get on the email lists.
After rereading the replies to this note, I think I'll try to get on Wynn's list. We've never stayed there and I'd like to try it out.
