Luxor Las Vegas question

I was looking something up, and noticed there is no schedule for IMAX 3-D movies on the website.

Please tell me they've just closed for summer

You got me curious and I found the bad news.

I suppose they'll replace it with something less family friendly. I really enjoyed the IMAX also when we ventured down that far. Sadly it will be missed. They always had interresting subjects.

There is an IMAX theatre about 25 mins from the strip at Red Rock Casino. But it's regular movies on the big screen.

I wonder if that has anything to do with what my husband heard - they are redoing the Luxor so it will no longer have the Eqyptian theme. It's a pyramid, what other theme would you have???

Passover theme

Egypt is not the only place in the world with piramids, by the way. Who else billed them? Mayans? Azteks? Some ancient people in South America.

Yes, that's correct, they are taking away more of the Egyptian theme as to make it more of an adults spot. And they recently opened the nightclub LAX, it is bringing some people back for the nightlife.

I don't know what they can do either as it is a giant pyramid....

Well TI tried to get away from the Treasure Island theme and I think that for the most part have succeeded. It's more of an adult spot now with nice restaurants and a great nightclub. The only thing they really kept was the live show outside of the building but that was always a big hit so why not keep it. I think most hotels are trying to get away from the themed resort. All of the new ones have no theme. Wynn and Palazzo for example.
