lunch near Harrah's Las Vegas
I have a one hour lunch break during my conferences at Harrah's. Would love to get out of that place for a fun casual lunch - not so far that I can't get there and back in time. Margaritaville in Flamingo's? Something in the Mirage or Caesar's? Please advise...

Margaritavilla is a good choice. Their tortilla soup if great. Might also check out I Love This Bar and Grill on the 2nd floor at Harrhas. Fried catfish and chicken fried steak very good. Also Kuhanaville at TI, Cheescake Factory at the Forum Shoppes in Caesars.

I agree with Mon Ami Gabi. Other nearby casual places (some chains) include:
Venetian: Grand Lux
Caesars: Cheesecake Factory, Stage Deli
Mirage: California Pizza Kitchen
Treasure Island: Kahunaville, Cantor's Deli
Bellagio: Bellagio Cafe
Although one hour might be a little tight walking back & forth and allowing time to be seated & eat for some of these.

I think you could not do many of these suggestions in an hour. If you have only an hour, I would find some place in your hotel. All the casinos are much more walking and distance than they appear to the eye.
Mon Ami Gabi is a wonderful place, but I would never try and do that in an hour. It is a place to enjoy and linger. Try and go later when you have more time, see the fountains, sip a glass of wine, pretend that you are in Europe and take your time...

You really need more then 1 hour for any of the suggestions given .. even on a "slow" day service can take awhile. You also have to factor in walking back and forth ... it all takes time. I go to Vegas alot and have eaten in all the places mentioned and honestly can't think of a single time when it took l hr. to eat. Many times you have to stand in line just to get into a place too.
Hopefully you will have some dinner time to go check out other restuarants, but for just 1 hr. I'd stay at Harrah's and not stress running around.

Thanks. Yes, we're planning to save Mon Ami Gabi for dinner. Chipotle or Cheesecake Factory might work. I'm not fond of Toby Keith but might give in to have some good chicken fried steak...

KVR mentioned I Love This Bar and Grill in Harrah's. That belongs to Toby Keith. Now Jimmy Buffett is definitely more to my liking but not sure we could get in and out of Margaritaville in time. Might give it a try.

Ah, didn't know that was there. I love Toby Keith, but I have heard many of his songs. Have you ever heard "Why Can't we Talk About ME?" or something like that. I love that song. It would be fun to check it out.
Have you been on the Harrahs web site? Maybe there are some ideas there...Have fun. It is a crazy town.
